FSD OPen enrollment, kindergarten registration and dual immersion program set to begin
Open Enrollment 2016/2017
Open Enrollment for Intradistrict and Interdistrict Transfers for the 2016/2017 school year begins on January 19 and ends on February 17, 2016.
Parents who reside within Fullerton School District who would like their students to attend a school other than their school of residence may request an Intradistrict Transfer at their school of residence between January 19 and February 17, 2016.
If you reside within Fullerton School District and your child is currently a 6th grade student and you wish to have them attend a junior high school that is not your neighborhood junior high school, please go to your neighborhood junior high school and request an Intradistrict Transfer.
If you live outside the Fullerton School District boundary and currently have your student on an Interdistrict Transfer, the transfer must be initiated in your district of residence. These Interdistrict Transfers should be received at the Fullerton School District office by February 17, 2016, for consideration.

Dual Immersion Program Implementation in 2016/17
We are excited to announce the implementation an English/Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program to begin in the 2016/2017 school year. The Dual Language Academy will be offered to incoming Kindergarten students and will be located at Raymond Elementary School. English proficient students and English Language Learners will learn literacy, language, and content in and through two languages in a technology rich environment and through hands-on experiences. Students will learn to read, write, and communicate effectively in Spanish and English while achieving high levels of academic success. Cooperative learning settings will promote the development of 21st Century Learning Skills; Communication, Collaboration, Critical Thinking, and Creativity while developing bilingual skills and cross-cultural competencies needed to succeed in our multicultural society and global economy. If you are interested in learning more about the program, we invite you to attend a parent informational meeting on either Wednesday, January 13th at Raymond Elementary or Wednesday, January 20th at Pacific Drive School.
