Maple Elementary School Receives Early Christmas Surprise

Maple Elementary School received a special visit from the one and only, Santa Claus.

The man in the red suit will arrived bright and early at Maple Elementary in Fullerton with a trailer-full of

wrapped gifts and food items for each of the school’s 435 students. Beginning at 8:00am in the Multi-

Purpose Room, Santa will took a photo with each of the school’s 16 classrooms and with the assistance of

his helpers, every child was presented with a gift. On site to lend St. Nick a hand was a cast of characters

including, StarKist’s Charlie the Tuna, Cracker Jack’s Sailor Jack and Frito Lay’s Chester Cheetah. These

characters were joined by representatives from the Fullerton School District, Fullerton School District

Trustees Janny Meyer and Hilda Sugarman, and representatives from Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions. The

Southern California grocery chain, which is based in Fullerton, adopted the Title 1 Academic Achieving

School in 2013 and has made sponsoring the Christmas wishes of each student a holiday tradition for their

employees. The school will also enjoyed a catered lunch and every teacher received a gift basket with

product and an Albertsons gift card.

The Fullerton School District is located in northern Orange County, California and serves 13,500 students

in grades TK – 8th. The Fullerton School District includes 20 schools, 15 elementary schools, two K-8th

grade schools, and 2 middle schools. The mission of the Fullerton School District is to work
